TNG Swiss Watches the Official Timing Partner for Lendy Cowes Week

The TNG Swiss Watches Newcomers Trophy is always exceptionally well supported at Lendy Cowes Week and this year is no exception with a total of 59 entries battling it out on the race course.

TNG, the Swiss luxury watch brand, that produces high precision chronograph sailing watches, classic and sports watches to a stylish Dutch design, is the official timing partner for Lendy Cowes Week for the second year.

Frans Dingerdis, founder of TNG Swiss Watches says that sailing is in the company’s DNA, so TNG and Lendy Cowes Week are the perfect partners: “TNG is short for Tack & Gybe, the two manoeuvres applied when altering course. Last year’s Lendy Cowes Week was a great experience and a huge success for our nautical watches.”

With one of these stylish and functional TNG watches from the extensive collection up for grabs for the overall winner of the TNG Swiss Watches Newcomers Trophy series, it is not surprising competition is exceptionally close at the top of the fleet.

Going into today’s sixth day of racing, Philippe Frantz and team on an NMD43 Albator had a slim lead over Josh Metcalfe and Mark Hogan’s Squib Rico’shea. Close behind on points was Arianne van de Loosdrecht’s Team Heiner III, sailing a super-sporty Max Fun 35. They had a great day in the fresh conditions yesterday and a win in class puts them well in contention for the TNG Swiss Watches Newcomers Trophy. They are also leading the Musto Young Skipper Trophy.
