Lawrence,
Over the last few years the Sigma 33 class has had its own start in spite of having only about 6 or 7 entries. The Impala 28s meanwhile have a 'class within a class' and race with us in IRC 6. In my view if the Sigmas had to do the same then those of us IRC 'one offs' with ratings near to those two one-design fleets would have better racing and so would the Sigmas.
Please can you give this some thought.
Ursula

Hi Ursula,

Already done. Sharing a start with IRC 6 at 1110 on the fixed lines and 1140 on committee boat on Wednesday and Friday.

Best regards,

Laurence

It appears you have already decided who is in class 6. !
So presumably you have done the class splits. May we know them please.

Hi David,

Not yet decided but am watching it every few days. Entries are still coming in quite quickly so it's fluid but we have some rough idea's.

We are consolidating some starts where the fleet numbers allow in order to make the start sequence shorter, which will give us a lot more flexibility if the winds are challenging.

Best,
Laurence

Class splits
NOR says a provision split will be provided for comment on the general forum about a week before Sunday 39th split announcements but nothing yet appears to have been posited ?

Hi Lawrence,
I realise that you have to be flexible with class splits with the influx of late entries,
But should we find ourselves at one end of a split, we may choose to increase the rating to shift classes. NOR says ratings have to be in by July 30?
It might be useful to know the splits before then?
Cheers
